Bourbon Glazed Pork Chops
Bourbon Glazed Pork Chops are my new found love! The difference from other marinated pork chop recipes is that the delicious marinade is cooked. It is simmered just long enough (five minutes), to really meld the amazing flavors of the ingredients! The marinade comes out with such a depth of flavor that is incredibly smooth tasting! I am all into cooking my marinades from now on!
This recipe is so good, I couldn’t wait to share it! And so very, very easy! You will want to make it today, tomorrow and then again next week; I know I am! Great served with my newest potato recipe Herb & Cheese Hash Browns or Yukon Gold Smashed Potatoes.

Ingredients
-
2 center cut pork chops, 3/4" thick
-
6 T soy sauce
-
2 T Worcestershire sauce
-
3 T fresh lemon juice
-
2 T bourbon
-
1/4 tsp hot sauce
-
1/2 tsp garlic powder
-
2 T finely chopped onion
-
1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
-
In a small saucepan, put all ingredients except pork chops. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently, reduce heat and simmer at a low boil for 5 - 7 minutes, until the marinade starts to thicken just a bit. Allow to cool. Use 2/3 of the glaze for marinating and 1/3 for basting the chops while grilling.
-
Place pork chops in a glass dish or ziploc bag. Pour two-thirds of cooled marinade over, flip chops to coat on both sides, refrigerate for 6 - 8 hours. Turn pork chops a few times, if possible. Reserve remaining marinade for the basting chops.
-
Remove from marinade, scrape off bits of onion so they don't burn on the grill.
-
Grill over medium high heat for 6 minutes on first side, until browned nicely. Baste at least once per side. Flip over and cook another 5 minutes. Remove from grill, place on a platter and loosely cover with foil for 10 minutes. Serve immediately with your favorite Cookin' With A Terry Twist side dishes!

These delicious pork chops are great served with my newest potato recipe Herb and Cheese Hash Browns, or Yukon Gold Smashed Potatoes, and a side of grilled summer squash.

I always grill pork tenderloins, but never pork chops. I bet your marinade would be good with this cut of meat too. Thanks for coming to the party and sharing your “boozy” pork chops.
Judi, what a great idea, to use this on pork tenderloins! I think it would work well also, I would just marinate for a few hours though; what do you think?
