How to Season a Steak Perfectly
In the morning or up to 24 hours before cooking that beautiful piece of beef steak, season steak on both sides with – First a TINY amount of sugar. Use less than ⅛ of a teaspoon per steak. Sprinkle the sugar on lightly and wait a few seconds to let it “melt” into the beef. Next, sprinkle salt and pepper as desired. Flip over steaks and repeat. You don’t need to overdo it, just sprinkle lightly. Refrigerate steaks for 24 – 48 hours. Remove from fridge and uncover about 30 minutes before serving. Grill to desired doneness! The sugar will both flavor and tenderize the steak and add a nice caramel color to the beef. I truly cannot make steaks any other way since I started doing this a few years ago! Works well with pork chops too!
I challenge you to try this and see if you can tell the difference!
