Smoked Sausage with Honey Mustard Glaze serves 8 hungry people!
This glaze is ready in 5 minutes and the sausage cooks on the grill in about 10 minutes, which makes this a great main dish for a weeknight meal!
- 3 – 14 ounce packages Eckrich skinless smoked sausage (This is my favorite, but use what you like!)
- ¼ cup honey
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 1 T Dijon mustard
- ¾ tsp garlic powder
Mix all ingredients well.
(Twisty tip – honey comes out of a measuring cup easier if the measuring cup has been sprayed with nonstick vegetable oil!)
Cut sausage “ropes” in half lengthwise and then into approx. 3 inch pieces. Brush sausage pieces with glaze on both sides. Place on medium hot grill and grill until nicely browned, turning and basting a few more times while sausage is cooking. Cooking time (depending on the grill), will be 10-15 minutes. Place sausage on platter and coat one more time with remaining glaze.
Serve with Yukon gold smashed potatoes, Pickly tomato cole slaw or potato salad.
A nice cold beer goes well with this dish!
